It was a Golden Golden Ears Camp (pun intended) as our troop headed off to Alder Flats campsite for the first serious backpacking trip of spring.

It was a wet day outside but an even wetter day inside as our troop tried scuba diving today. Everyone had a blast blowing bubbles and when asked if the Scouts wanted to go again, the answer was an instant YES.
It was a great (warmish) but snow filled weekend at Manning Park for our annual Winter Camp. It was an impulse area camp as we were joined by groups from across Fraser Valley Council. Due to the avalanche danger, we didn’t do as long as a snowshoe as planned, instead

It was an enjoyable weekend for our Scouts as they accepted the challenge of a Woodbadge II training camp. Fire building & first aid skills were just a couple of the many things the 1st year scouts got some additional experience on! Congratulations to Scouter Suzey on earning her beads.
A great night of noodles and lightweight stoves was had by all! Noodles by Whisperlite stove, an wonderful combination!

3 of our Scouts enjoyed a quick overnighter up to Greendrop Lake (or at least that was the plan) – however extremely flooded creeks led to a river of water blocking the trail to the campsite, so we found a lovely place in the trees to spend the night. The
Our Beaver and Cub Scouts spent the day telling people about their Scouting experiences and leaning about Crime and Fire Prevention.
