Our troop made the hike up the Squamish Chief May 4th. The weather held off perfectly, driving to camp we ran into rain, on the trail, it was quite dry. Some concerns about the uphill portion were heard, but once everyone made it up, the view was well worth it!
Scouts started on their lightweight camping skills practicing lighting the lightweight backpacking stoves to make some noodles and apple cider. The improvement from the first use of the stoves today has been incredible, it was night and day.
The Troop enjoyed a fine night of good food at Blackie Spit at Crescent Beach Feb 29th (Leap Day) – Burgers, Shepherds Pie and Spaghetti and Meatballs were among the tasty dishes prepared. Hot food makes a cold night much more enjoyable.
Our troop enjoyed an evening of climbing at the Coastal Climbing Center (formerly Vertical Reality.) After too many races to the top to count, everyone came down and enjoyed some refreshing snacks!

On Saturday, December 4th four of our Scouts assisted the White Rock Firefighters in their annual Breakfast with Santa. It was a long day from 7:30am – 12:30pm, but the smiles of the peoples faces made it all worth while. The firefighters had awesome grills to cook on, it put
